New Leadership and Commitment for Our Community - Candidate for Barstow, 3rd District City Council
I’m Leonard Williams and I am a resident of Barstow, living in District 3.
Since moving here in 2009 I have grown to love this community and how the people care for each other.
I am currently Chairman of the Resident Oversite Committee for Measure Q community advisory board for Barstow.
Over the years, I have devoted my time and money to different causes and organizations within the city. Many times I have heard, when do you have time to dedicate to these different causes? My response has always been, I can make time for the betterment of the people of Barstow.
With that said, I am a candidate for the 3rd District City Council Seat for 2020.

I served in United States Army for 21 years. I am a proud advocate of the Fire and Police Departments, Senior and Youth Services, I am an advocate for all our youth, for they are truly our future. Fiscal responsibility is the number one driver for a successful city, spend wisely and save for the future.
I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA, the youngest of 6. I was married for 28 years and I have two great sons.
After stationing with United States Army in Barstow, after 21 years, I retired. I currently work for the Department of the Navy. I have lived in Barstow for 13 years.

Saved unit funds with sound fiscal management.
